Emerson Creek 

Emerson Creek is a  spring fed head water creek of the Mill Creek watershed, which is a subwatershed of the Grand River. This small tributary has marvelous potential to support Brook Trout and provide clean cold water to the Mill Creek subwatershed. A few of our chapter members have taken on this project creek and have made great strides towards its rehabilitation.  Below is a video of a workday where a vortex rock weir is installed. This feature is being installed to increase dissolved oxygen content in the water. Low oxygen is believed to be the primary reason this tributary wasn't already supporting Brook Trout.
